— ReliaMod® modular metering Accessories 1

Two types of surge protective devices are available for use with ReliaMod® modular metering. Both types are separately ordered accessories. Gangable surge protective device modules are available in single and 3-phase options rated for 130, 200 or 300 kA per phase. These devices connect externally to the main module via horizontal cross bus.

Field-installable surge protective device kits are available for field install on the horizontal cross bus within the main module enclosure. The kits provide 50kA per phase protection. Note, these kits are only compatible with main modules ordered on or after September 1, 2026.

They can be installed between any two ReliaMod® sections and will add an additional 7.25 inches of width between them. Some utilities require certain minimum widths between main modules and closest meter sockets which this spacer can help accomplish. ⁵ ReliaMod® spacers and bus adapters are small enough that they do not require wall rails, and only come with wall swivel brackets for mounting.
